About Us

On February 1, 1989, S&S Auto Sales, LTD. was established in Haymarket, Virginia offering used Saabs for sale. After being at this location for six months, it was decided that this location was not receiving enough exposure. To overcome this market problem, we moved the business to New Baltimore, Virginia. This allowed us to establish larger SAAB sales and service facility with direct exposure on Route 29/211.

Although our first year was “touch & go” our numerous radio advertisements in the DC market started attracting some of our earliest and longest customers. Its true most of our customer base comes from the greater Washington Metropolitan area, but over the past several years we have had customers from as far as New York and as far south as Florida. Like the majority of our business, these customers were referrals from some of our long-standing local customers.

After several years of refining our service and sales operations our customer base grew to a point where we could pursue a long-term plan for the business. Our first expansion came in July 1993. We acquired the adjoining property and added our sales and parts department. In an effort to improve on our service, in September 1994, we added a detail bay to our service building. Another addition was when we became an “ eco friendly ” facility, we installed a water-recycling unit and heating system that uses spent motor oil as fuel.

In 2004, S&S Auto Sales is celebrating its 15-year anniversary. This Anniversary also marked the addition of the VOLVO line in sales and service. With over a year's worth of research and planning, we purchased the VADIS system, which is the same factory equipment the dealer uses in its service department. This allows us to offer the same quality of service to our new VOLVO customer base.

Another area of growth is our collision work. S&S now works with all the major insurance carriers and ensures the highest quality of work only using factory original equipment. Of course we still have a free loaner car with every scheduled service, we still hand wash and vacuum every car, and our 24 hour towing service is always ready for when you need us most.

We are fully aware that our accomplishments are not simply attributable to “genius” leadership or our hard working employees. We grew and prospered only because we found some great friends like you who gave us loyal support along the way.
